To build a Buddhist Temple in the Southern Hemisphere is a wonderful and unique project. It needs to have great fortune and great causes and conditions to achieve such a grand task.
We are thankful to many people’s offering of the land, and helping with the construction. We are also thankful to all those who many have donated only one brick, one roof tile, one beam, or one column. After three years of construction, this grand Main Shrine is finally built. The possibility of achieving the New Main Shrine is due to all those supporters who had offered their help. The Chinese garden consists of a lotus pond, ancient style pagoda, pavilion, marble bridge, waterfall and beautiful plants. Jewel Casket Stupa and Five Elements Stupa are also erected in the garden. The 1.7 kilometres long meditation track surrounded by pine trees is completed as well. Seeing all these being actualised really cannot stop one exclaim with admiration!
We are still seeking donations for the Thousand Buddhas Altar inside the Main Shrine, the Big Bronze Bell, the Four Main Columns, Corridor Round Posts, the Four Heaven King Statues, Maitreya Bodhisattva Statue and the Wei Tuo Protector Statue inside the Heaven Kings Shrine, 18 Arhats and Stone Lightings. Your help is most welcomed.
We also need help and donations for the completion in the construction of the corridors on both sides of the Main Shrine, the Meditation Hall and Multi-function Hall and the 24 retreat huts. Local and overseas supporters are welcome.

Ten merits of building a Temple described in the Lotus Flower Sutra:

- One will break away from afflictions and illusions
- One will have ample clothing and good, and good fortune and enjoy a high position.
- One’s speech and actions will be well respected by people and Heavenly beings.
- One will accumulate merits and wisdom.
- One will be reborn in favourable realms with good appearance, fortune and wisdom.
- One will be reborn in places where there are Buddhist teachings and attain Buddhahood quickly.
